Lancaster Green ECO Special Events Station Project

Project Overview: This concept was initiated by M0ZIF and most of the groundwork todate has been done by myself. Lancaster is a Transition City which basically means we are trying to become more environmentally aware, be it sustainable foods, forageable foods, ECO-Street projects and more. I thought wouldn't it be nice to encourage amateurs to use green materials and to make them think about the environment. We need to take responsibility for our carbon footprint. From the power we use to the paper we abuse. Take for example the Humble QSL card, first the card ismade, then printed, then written on, posted, traveling by car, train, airplane, then it goes through sorting machines, and then delivered to your door. And thats without taking into account postage stamps. So this whole project will use eQSL cards. We aim at introducing alternative power sources to the masses whilst also promoting Amateur Radio as a cool hobby.

Please note anything with a star next to it we are still seeking funding or donation of.
